Today, only 8% of the abbey church remains, but many of the monastic buildings that made up Cluny Abbey are visible.
The map below shows the buildings as a whole: in white the elements that have disappeared, and in colour the buildings that you can discover throughout the tour.

Once you have passed through the Portes d'Honneur, you will enter the former Cluny Abbey like a pilgrim, where you will be able to discover the majestic remains that reflect only a small part of this building.

The abbey church
By crossing the doors of the Palace of Pope GelasiusThe visit to Cluny Abbey takes you on a vast journey from the vaults of the transept of the church, through the 18th century monastery, the chapter house to the Farinier with its 13th century barrel vault.
Not to be missed: the various digital mediation devices (3D film, augmented reality terminals and video-mapping)

The Museum of Art and Archaeology
The Palais Jean de Bourbon, within the abbey walls, houses the Museum of Art and Archaeology, which displays the most important works of medieval sculpture from Cluny, from the town and from the abbey. A visit to the museum is included in the price of admission to the abbey.
Not to be missed: the reconstruction of part of the Great Portal of Cluny III and its digital film.
