Saint-Symphorien Church
About
Sigy-le-Châtel, known as Sedriacum castrum, fief of the Duke of Burgundy in 1279, is a pretty village in the Mâconnais region, built between two hills on which stand the ruins of the feudal castle and the church of the former priory of Saint Nicolas. Altered over the centuries and recently renovated, the church exudes an impression of serenity and luminosity.
