As well as being a stage on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, Cluny is also a stage on the pilgrimage route to Assisi. An itinerary from Vézelay to Assises

This pilgrimage route covered 650km in France, crossing the Clunisois region with a not-to-be-missed stopover in Taizé and Cluny then 850km in Italy, making a total of 1,500 km. The most courageous will take around 70 days to cover the whole route.

The entire route is signposted with the "Franciscan tau", surmounted by a dove, which indicates the route to take.

It's important to prepare your itinerary carefully before setting off on your adventure!
