A very unusual "communal" group gîte housed in a modernist seventies building on the site of the college, offering the rare privilege of free use of the school's basketball and handball pitches (in street-football mode) located at the foot of the gîte, as well as free access to the public swimming pool located a stone's throw away (a complete leisure centre nestling around a fishing pond). The picturesque, peaceful market town of Matour has been awarded the "Station Verte de Vacances" label (a well-known ecotourism label dedicated to "nature" destinations), and boasts an exceptional level of sports and leisure facilities, numerous shops and amenities, and an absolutely magical, enchanting landscape, nestling on a perfectly exposed south-facing hillside, in the hollow of a bucolic bocage valley nestling beneath the wooded crests of the Saint-Cyr mountain, the highest point in southern Burgundy (a unique belvedere offering an exceptional panoramic view as far as Mont Blanc on a clear day!). Functional, ultra-spacious and bright gîte with a large activity room (77m²). Pleasant little enclosed garden with children's play area and barbecue. Use of the local gymnasium on request (at an additional cost) & free use of the football pitch (5 minutes' walk away).
